NACOSS stands for National Approval Council for Security Systems and was replaced in 2001 through the merger of NACOSS and ISI (Inspectorate of the Security Industry). The new combined organisation was renamed the National Security Inspectorate (NSI). Only NSI accredited companies, like GuardHome limited, are authorised to use and display the NSI logo and are accepted by insurance companies and the police and fire services as professional system installers.
The National Security Inspectorate is the specialist approvals and certification body that inspects companies providing home security, business security and fire safety services. Choosing an NSI approved company ensures that the contractor you select works to the highest recognised industry standards as demanded by the Police, Fire and Rescue Services and insurance industry.
NSI approval is not simply a bureaucratic box ticking exercise; all NSI certified companies are audited twice a year and re-certified every three years to ensure that the standards are being maintained.
For more information on the NSI visit their website http://www.nsi.org.uk/ and you will find us listed as an approved company.
