At GuardHome we are just coming to the end of our ninth year of trading. Where has the time gone? Again we have achieved near record sales with our reputation for providing superb security and the highest standards of customer service being cited by our clients as their reason for using us and allowing us to continue to provide their support and maintenance. This is by choice as we do not resort to contractual lock in to gain customer loyalty, unlike some providers! So what does year ten hold in store? The plans are well advanced for the introduction of BS5839 compliant wireless fire systems. These systems will reinforce our position as the leading “wireless only” professional security and fire company. Our use of wireless technology is based on an in-depth understanding of radio frequency communications and the benefits it delivers to our clients. We also firmly believe that with the right installer, wireless systems are actually superior in many respects to their wired counterparts. Of course we will continue to provide wireless smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for our intruder alarm clients protecting their families, homes and possessions against these lethal threats. Our new iMageAlarm intruder alarms, which combine traditional alarm systems with advanced video detectors as part of a system continues to attract new business and upgrade options for our existing clients. With an iMageAlarm system you will still receive all of our existing security benefits such as calls direct to your selected mobile or landline numbers.  These are quickly followed by a short video clip, with sound, direct to your email address. Even at night when there is no natural light the in-built illumination allows black and white images to be captured  by our smart wireless camera detectors. All of this is handled through our dedicated secure server, giving GuardHome complete control of your end to end iMageAlarm service. Another new wireless capability that is being introduced this year is through our recent agreement with Courtney-Thorne to provide support and maintenance for their range of wireless Nurse Call systems. These again capitalise on the huge benefits of wireless communications technology to provide point-of-need care systems in care homes, doctors surgeries and similar types of location. Of course our preference for wireless technology is primarily directed to the alarm systems described above, not our range of professional CCTV surveillance systems. Whilst it is possible to provide a wireless solution to provide CCTV images, the cost of suitable high grade, robust radio systems that can also handle the large data requirements of CCTV make these prohibitively expensive for most clients. We continue to use wired links between the camera and recording device and power supplies to handle both image and power requirements. We select either Analogue or (IP) Internet Protocol based systems dependant on the needs of the client and the conditions under which the systems operate. This. is an area that continues to see strong growth and our reputation for delivering reliable images direct to PC or Apple Mac based systems that can also be accessed from the majority of mobile platforms is an attractive proposition for both domestic and commercial clients. To accommodate our continued growth we are also strengthening our technical team with our latest recruit scheduled to join in August. Our tenth year looks to be one of our most exciting and is destined to deliver further strong growth yet maintaining our core strength of a customer focused business that recognises that peace of mind is what our residential and commercial clients are seeking from us.
