Burglars look like you and I – they dress like us, walk like us, and talk like us. They come in all shapes and sizes.
Many clients come to us do so because they have already been burgled. The amount of people who have been burgled after having work done in their house is too disproportionate to be a coincidence.
Burglars may take the form of a workman, a double glazing salesman or just someone knocking on your door to ask for directions.
The point is that they will often do their research or ‘case the joint’. The worst thing you can do at this point is advertise your valuables.
Our advice would be to…
- Never leave valuables in the eye-line of a stranger at your front door.
- Use creative hiding places. (One of the first places a burglar will check is your draws).
and of course… - Invest in a security system from a reliable alarm company you can trust (if you haven’t already).
